Starting in March, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service-Williamson County will begin offering a multi-week series about canning and food preservation.
“Preserving the Harvest is a series that teaches you how to preserve foods using tested recipes and research-based methods,” according to a news release. “The classesβ βhands-onβ activities allow you to learn and practice food preservation skills under the supervision of an Extension Agent.”
The classes will include:
- Canning Basics – March 2, 2023 from 3 PM to 5 PM
- Water Bath Canning – March 9, 2023 from 3 PM to 6 PM
- Pressure Canning – March 16, 2023 from 3 PM to 6 PM
The series will take place at the Extension office located at 100 Wilco Way, Ste. AG205 in Georgetown, TX. Classes are $60 per person for the 3-week series and must be paid in full at the first class, the organization said. Register by visiting https://williamson.agrilife.org/ or calling 512-943-3300.
