The public is invited to attend the upcoming investitures for two new Williamson County, TX judges.
βAn investiture for Will Ward, the new judge of County Court at Law No. 5, will be held on Monday, Oct. 3, at 10 a.m. in the 277th District Courtroom at the Williamson County Justice Center, 405 MLK, in Georgetown,β the county said. βWard, who currently serves as an assistant district attorney in Williamson County, was appointed to the newly created County Court bench by the Williamson County Commissioners Court on August 30, 2022.β
Justice Scott Fieldβs investiture will happen the following week.
βAn investiture for Justice Scott Field, the new judge of the 480th District Court, will be held on Monday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. in the historic Williamson County Courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown,β the county said. βHe will take the formal oath of office in a private ceremony on October 1. Field, who is a partner with Butler Snow and was previously a Justice on the Third Court of Appeals, was appointed to the newly created District Court Bench by Governor Greg Abbott on September 6, 2022.β
