Registration is open for the 2022 National Night Out in Georgetown, TX!
βNational Night Out is an annual CommUNITY-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live,β according to the Georgetown Police Department. βNational Night Out enhances the relationships while bringing back a true sense of CommUNITY. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances instead of tragic or stressful moments in our lives.β
This yearβs event will take place on Tuesday, October 4th from 6 PM to 9 PM. Registration closes Monday, September 19th at midnight.
βMillions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide,β the Georgetown Police Department said. βNeighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more. Last year, we had over 65 parties/events that were visited by police, fire and other city officials/personnel, with thousands of residents celebrating this wonderful night together.β
