On Saturday, August 27th, Rentsch Brewery will celebrate itโs 7th anniversary!
Originally started in Georgetown by father and son David and Andrew Rentschler, the brewery has grown from small beginnings to a multi-location operation bringing local brews to the community and beyond.
โ[The community response has] been spectacularโฆand itโs just grown and grown.โ Matt Davis, Taproom Manager, told Hello Georgetown. โPeople love it.โ
While local beer is what Rentsch Brewery creates and specializes in, they also engage with the community around them. From pet adoption events to providing water to Williamson County residents during Winter Storm Uri, the brewery is ready to offer a hand to those in need and frequently works with local businesses, nonprofits and more to serve the community.
โ[During Winter Storm Uri] we were supplying fresh drinking water to the county,โ Davis said. โWe canned somewhere in the region of 28,000 cans of drinking water, and also had essentially a water spigot available for people to come and fill up their 55 gallon drums, five gallon jugs, whatever you wanted to fill up. We were just doing that just to make sure that the county was operationalโฆ. we like working with the county and we like working with the local businesses.โ
But, service to others isnโt the only highlight in the businessโs seven year history. Rentsch has vastly expanded their menu of beers to include flavors for everyoneโs taste buds.
โThatโs one of the things that I really like is being able to listen to the public and find out what they want and find out what they like, and then trying to do our best to provide it for them,โ Davis said. โI personally pride myself and my team on getting to know our customers. Someone asks you, โWhatโs this new beer,โ youโll know whether theyโre going to like it or not. [Weโll] give them a taster, absolutely. But, more often than not, weโll have a vague idea about whether theyโll enjoy it or not.โ
In addition to providing locally crafted beers, Rentsch Brewery also teams up with a variety of local food trucks to provide customers with great food to go with their favorite beer. The combination of Rentschโs menu of beers, local eateries and a great family friendly (pets too!) indoor/outdoor venue, has made Rentsch Brewery a destination for the whole family and it will continue to be for years to come.
โCome in, have some fun,โ Davis said. โBring your kids, bring your pets. We are family friendly, we are pet friendly, and just come and chat with us, see what weโre all about and try some beers.โ
Rentsch Brewery will be holding an all day anniversary celebration from noon to 10 PM. Guests can look forward to enjoying food from El Hombre Taco and Cajun Skillet, axe throwing with Rowdy Axe Co and purchasing local merchandise from Texas Made Supply Co, all while enjoying music from Wade Hill.
