The City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department is now accepting reservations for community garden plots at the Heritage Community Garden.
Located at 2100 Hutto Road in Georgetown, TX, the garden features several types of garden beds including:
- 25 in-ground garden beds
- 48 raised beds
- 8 ADA accessible beds
The community garden beds are excellent for growing flowers, vegetables and fruits, and plots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
“2023 leases will run from March 1 through Dec. 31, 2023, and may be renewed annually,” the Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department said. “Fees are paid annually and are not prorated.”
Prices for plots are the following:
- 20 foot x 20 foot in-ground: $50 (Resident) | $75 (Non-Resident)
- 7 foot by 16 foot raised bed: $40 (Resident) | $50 (Non-Resident)
- 7 foot by 16 foot accessible raised bed: $40 (Resident) | $50 (Non-Resident)
The garden will be open daily for gardeners from 5 AM – 10 PM, the department said. To find more information about the garden, or to reserve a plot, visit parks.georgetown.org/heritage-community-garden.
