Georgetown nonprofit Seeds of Strength has started accepting Letter of Intent (LOI) Application Packages from eligible nonprofit agencies serving residents of Georgetown for their 2021-2022 grant cycle.
Grant requests range from $10,000 to $25,000. Areas of interest include: Health and Well-Being, Family, Education and Financial Security, and Arts and Culture.
In order to submit a Letter of Intent, nonprofit applicants must:
- Be classified as a βPublic Charityβ with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- Provide services to individual residing within the Greater Georgetown zip codes: 78626, 78627, 78628, 78634, 78673, and 78674
- Determine the grant request ranging from $10,000 to $25,000
- Apply for only one grant
- Follow all Seeds of Strengthβs grant procedures and meet all deadlines
Note: Seeds of Strength has an alternate-year funding policy. This means that an organization awarded a grant in 2021 may not apply for a grant in 2022.
Deadline for submission of the LOI Application Package is November 11, 2021, at 5 PM.
Seeds of Strength accepts Grant Applications by invitation only. After evaluating an organizationβs Letter of Intent for eligibility, Seeds of Strength will invite qualified organizations to submit a grant proposal. Grants are awarded based on a vote of the Seeds of Strength membership after prospective grant recipients have successfully completed each step of the grant process.
In the 2020-2021 grant cycle, Seeds of Strength awarded over $185,000 in grants to local nonprofits. Interested nonprofits can get more information at SeedsOfStrength.org or by contacting grants@seedsofstrength.org.
