Seeds of Strength is a philanthropic women’s giving circle whose members connect with the Georgetown community, enrich lives through fellowship, and award grants to nonprofits as selected by our members. With the 2022-2023 grant cycle, Seeds of Strength will celebrate 14 years of women coming together through collective giving. To date, Seeds of Strength has invested $1,891,000 in 38 different nonprofit organizations serving Georgetown residents.
Beginning October 1, 2022, Seeds of Strength Grant Process will begin accepting Letter of Intent (LOI) Application Packages from eligible nonprofit agencies serving residents of Georgetown.
Grant requests range from $10,000 to $25,000. Areas of Interest include Health and Well-Being, Family, Education/Financial Security, and Arts and Culture.
To begin the grant process, an applicant will submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a program or project for which you seek funding. Nonprofit agencies must be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and provide services to individuals residing within the GISD zip code area. We follow an alternate-year funding policy—if your organization was awarded a grant in 2022, you cannot apply again this year.

If your non-profit organization’s needs are compatible with Seeds of Strength’s grant process, please submit a Letter of Intent application package. All required forms and instructions are located on the Seeds of Strength website listed above.
The Letter of Intent submission deadline is Thursday, November 10, 2022, by 5:00 PM. Late submissions will be declined without consideration.
The LOI application packet including attachments must be submitted to an assigned Dropbox file folder link which we will send on request. The email request can be made to grants@seedsofstrength.org by October 21, 2022. Your Dropbox link will be emailed on October 28, 2022.
Next Steps: Seeds of Strength accepts Grant Applications BY INVITATION ONLY. After evaluating your organization’s Letter of Intent, we will notify you if Seeds of Strength will invite your organization to submit a grant proposal. Grants are awarded based on a vote of the Seeds of Strengths membership after prospective grant recipients have successfully completed each step of the grant process.
