Dozens of dogs and cats at the Georgetown Animal Shelter and the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter are ready and waiting to go home this Christmas. Both shelters are critically full and need good homes for their pets.
Stop by the Georgetown Animal Shelter and meet Hot Toddy, a five-month-old mixed breed male pup who is full of life and ready to find his forever home. Also there is Glory, a one-year-old adult mixed breed female who is a sweet, big lass who loves attention and hugs. If you’re wanting to bring home a kitty for the holidays meet Helga, a 6-year-old friendly tabby cat who likes pets and attention. Her friends Sissy, Missy, and Oreo are also looking for the purrfect new home.
These animals and many more puppies, adult dogs, and cats are available for adoption at the Georgetown Animal Shelter, located at 110 WL Walden Drive in Georgetown near San Gabriel Park. If you are interested in adopting call them at 512-930-3592, email animalsvc@georgetown.org, or drop by during open hours to meet their pets. The shelter will be closed December 23rd – December 26th.
At the Wilco Regional Animal Shelter, Chico Jr. is one of their longest stay dogs and his Christmas wish is to be adopted. Chico is an extra large, loving, goofy boy who enjoys running and playing with toys and tugs. Chico is smart and already knows a few of the basics. Chico is part of the Teacher’s Pet program, which means he comes with five free training sessions once you adopt him. Chico also comes comes with an Adoption Angel, so his fee has already been paid.
Also at The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter are Buddy, Chapo, Bentley, Sunnie, Finn, Midnight, Bubba Gump, and many more dogs ready to go home for Christmas. The shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet their animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org or calling 512-943-3322.
Regular adoption fees are $75 at both shelters and include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, heart worm or feline leukemia test, and microchip. At the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter Senior animals (7+ years) are $25 or less, as are Lonely Hearts (long-term shelter residents).
