Shoppers are invited to Shop Small and Shop Local with Georgetown merchants during the annual Small Business Saturday event on Saturday, Nov. 30. Small Business Saturday is recognized as a day to support and celebrate the local small businesses in the community.
Participating retailers and restaurants will have holiday shopping and dining specials available. The Shop Small kick-off event will be held at 10 a.m. at the Georgetown Art Center, 816 S. Main St., and the first 600 shoppers will receive a free canvas tote bag to use for shopping.
For the second year, the Georgetown Main Street Program will feature the Coffee & Cocoa Crawl event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Downtown coffee shops, cafes, and sweet shops will have tasting opportunities for ticket holders.Β Tickets are on sale now for $20Β and include a keepsake mug, cookie, and samples at 10 locations downtown. A limited number of 550 tickets will be sold for the event.
The annual, limited-edition Main Street ornament will be for sale for $25 in mid-November at the Georgetown Visitors Center, 103 W. Seventh St. This yearβs ornament features a streetscape of Eighth Street. Proceeds benefit the FaΓ§ade & Sign Grant Program.
The Small Business Saturday event is co-sponsored by the Georgetown Main Street Program, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Georgetown Association.
