Several Georgetown nonprofits recently received grants from United Way for Great Austin.
βUnited Way for Greater Austin awarded a total of $2.2 million in strategic grants to 68 nonprofits in Travis and Williamson counties,β according to a press release from United Way for Greater Austin. βThe recipients represent a diverse set of community leaders collectively serving over 13,000 local children and families in the areas of education, health, and financial stability.β
Among the Georgetown nonprofits who received grants are:
- Boys & Girls Club of Georgetown β $15,000
- Faith in Action Georgetown β $10,000
- Literacy Council of Williamson County β $20,000
- Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties β $20,000
- ROCK Ride On Center for Kids β $10,000
- The Georgetown Project β $20,000
- Williamson County Childrenβs Advocacy Center β $20,000
- Wonders and Worries β $10,000

The Williamson County grants awarded support nonprofits who address needs in education, health and financial stability, United Way for Greater Austin said.
βAs part of the grant selection process, United Way partnered with community members representing Travis and Williamson counties to review applications,β according to United Way for Greater Austin. βEach proposal was reviewed by at least three different community members.β
