Wag Heaven Keeps Pets Wagging in April

April 1, 2025 (Georgetown, TX) – Georgetown’s local Wag Heaven Pet Supplies and Self-Serve Dog Wash, will be celebrating April with PAW-sitive vibes.

Along with April sales and everyday-low-priced products, Wag Heaven is hosting three beneficial events for the happiness and wellness of your four-legged family members …KEEP ON WAGGING TIME…

1. Sunday, April 6^th, Noon to 4:00pm – Dog Preventative Care Vaccine Clinic. Miranda Coates, a local veterinarian of Cherished Companions Veterinarian, will offer affordable Preventative Care Vaccination Packages for puppies and adult dogs, such as Basic Core Vaccines for $55.00.  With a purchase of a Heartworm Test, pet owners can purchase a six month supply of heartworm preventative for $5.00.  “We will also offer a 10% discount to military and first responders” confirms Dr, Coates.  “$2.00 of each vaccine will be donated to pet related charities.”  The clinic will be on a walk-in first-come first-served basis.
2. Saturday, April 12^th, Noon to 4:00 pm – Dog Wash Fundraiser for Ant’s Happy Endings (www. org). The mission of Ant’s Happy Endings is to transition abandoned senior dogs to a loving, healing forever home and allow the dogs’ unconditional love to connect with communities in need. During the fundraising event, for $20 volunteers will wash customers’ dogs, and customers will receive a coupon to come back for a FREE self-serve dog wash (a $30 value and $10 savings). The organization was created to honor the memory of the founder’s son Anthony, who was killed by a drunk driver. His friends called him ‘Ant.
3. Saturday, April 19^th, 11:30am to 4:00pm – Pet Adoption by the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. These third Saturday monthly adoption gatherings have become one of the store’s most attended events.  Many dogs have been adopted.   “It is such a blessing to provide an opportunity for the dogs to interact with possible pet adopters outside of the shelter” says Misty Valenta, Director of the Wilco Animal Shelter.  “It’s so rewarding whenever a pet finds a FUREVER home.”
4. Sunday, April 27^th, Noon to 4:00pm – POPP Pup Parade and Pet Costume Contest, A fun walk around the court house of the Most Beautiful Townsquare in Texas, opens Sunday’s festivities of the annual Red Poppy Festival. Pre-registration to participate with your dog is now open on the Red Poppy Festival website. On-site registration will start at 9:30am in front of Lark and Owl Bookstore.  Prizes will be given out to pet costume contest winners.  First prize consisting of 6 mid-sized bags of Orijen or Acana brand pet food, Second Prize consisting of 3 mid-sized bags of Petcurean brand pet foods, Third Prize consists of 1 mid-sized bag of Nutrisource brand pet food.
