On Thursday, June 9, the Williamson County AgriLife Extension Office will be hosting a canning workshop.
βHave you been wanting to learn to can so you can preserve all the wonderful produce from your home garden or local farmerβs market,β according to a news release. βHereβs your chance! It is vitally important that home canning is done safely, and this workshop will teach you what you need to know.β
The class is from 1 PM to 5 PM and costs $35 with all required supplies included. Those with who own a pressure canner are invited to bring it to the workshop for safety testing.
βYou will leave the workshop with educational materials and 2 special canned creations,β the news release said.
Registration is limited to the first 15 people to sign up, which can be completed here. The class will take place at 100 Wilco Way in Room 205 in Georgetown, TX.
