The first baking contest for the Wilco Fair & Rodeo has named the winners!
βWe are excited to announce the winners of the first ever Williamson County Fair & Rodeo Baking Contest,β the Williamson County Texas A&M AgriLife Extension said. βCongratulations to all! Held on October 20, we had winners in Adult and Youth levels.β
Two of the winners included people from Georgetown.
βWe had a great response with 75 youth and adult entries from all over the county,β Kate Whitney, County Extension Agent for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Williamson County, told Hello Georgetown. βWe were pleasantly surprised at the level of excitement from all the participants. We heard neat stories about family recipes that were used, and we enjoyed seeing so many families gathering to bake their entries together.β
