The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions through Sunday, August 14th as they remain at critical capacity.
“With 44 animals coming in from a single location yesterday, we are in dire need of adopters and fosters, and now, thanks to Petco Love, ALL adoptions are FREE through Sunday,” the organization wrote on Facebook. “Each adoption will allow us to continue to care for all the remaining animals to the level you expect of us.”
Currently, there are 327 animals available to adopt, including 2 guinea pigs and 3 roosters. The shelter also emphasized that those who are currently unable to adopt can still help by fostering, donating and spreading the word.
“Help make space by fostering a medium-to-large adult dog,” the shelter wrote on Facebook. “This helps open a kennel for one of the dogs brought in last night and reduces the number of animals needing care in the shelter. We will work to find a match for your home; will share supplies from donations, when available; and will take care of any medical issues that might arise.”
