Kirtan Meditation
Flow Yoga - Georgetown, North Austin Avenue, Georgetown, TX, USA
Join us for a peaceful and uplifting community gathering as we come together to experience the soothing power of Kirtan. This free event is open to all, regardless of background or belief, and offers an opportunity to explore a meditative state through the singing of sacred mantras and spiritually uplifting songs.
Kirtan is not a performance but a collective journey of self-discovery. Through simple, melodic chants—including the well-known "Hare Krishna" mantra—we’ll create an environment of relaxation, connection, and inner peace. It’s a gentle, non-judgmental space where we can quiet the mind, open the heart, and connect with one another through the universal language of music.
This evening will allow you to participate as much or as little as you’d like, whether you prefer to sing along, listen, or simply absorb the peaceful energy. No previous experience is necessary—just bring an open heart and a curiosity for this meditative experience.
We invite you to join us in this celebration of music, mindfulness, and community. Whether you're seeking a moment of calm, a new experience, or simply a way to connect with others, we would love to have you with us.
Feel free to bring a friend and a comfortable cushion or mat! We look forward to sharing this special evening with you.

The Georgetown Health Foundation Presents: Planning for the Unplanned
Georgetown Public Library, West 8th Street, Georgetown, TX, USA
Can You Plan for the Unplanned?
With so many things uncertain these days, it's hard to think about planning — either for the short-term or long into the future. Even though you may feel stuck in overwhelm, you can still plot a course in a strategic direction.
Developing a strategic plan is a great way to set goals, map out activities, and measure outcomes. This is true whether it's for an entire organization or just one department or program.
You can’t get stuck in a one-time definition of your plan, though, since things change constantly. You need to figure out how to maneuver and adapt your plans to truly be successful.
We'll talk about:
What Strategic Planning Is and Is Not
How Strategic Planning Differs in Times of Uncertainty
How Scenario Planning Works
Adjusting Your Plans
This workshop will uncover how you can create a plan that will strengthen and position your organization for success — and allow for the possibilities that might derail your plans at any point.
Session Objectives
Understanding the basics of strategic planning
Knowing how to make adjustments in plans
Resources, real-world examples, and exercises to help with planning

ROCK’s 19th Annual Barn Dance, Let Freedom Ring
ROCK - Ride on Center for Kids, Rockride Lane, Georgetown, TX, USA
Join us for ROCK’s 19th Annual Barn Dance “Let Freedom Ring.”
As we gather to celebrate ROCK’s extraordinary journey, we reflect on a dream that took root 26 years ago—a vision that has flourished into a beacon of hope and resilience for all who step through our gates. Much like the principles in our Declaration of Independence, ROCK’s path has been built step by step, with each stride honoring the brave individuals who came before us.
This year is especially significant, as we mark 20 years of serving veterans through our ROCK On Veterans (ROV) Program. For two decades, we’ve witnessed the freedom that horses provide—freedom from anxiety, stress, and even the limitations of a disability. Every interaction between our veterans and our horses is a tribute to the healing power of the horse-human connection.
From Miss Prissy Texan’s first steps alongside courageous young riders to the countless transformations in our veteran programs, every moment at ROCK celebrates the unwavering spirit of freedom. Thousands of journeys have unfolded here, each one carried by the resilience and liberation our equine companions offer.
As a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ROCK is dedicated to improving independence and life skills in partnership with our horses. Nestled on 60 beautiful acres in Georgetown, Texas, we are home to 29 cherished horses, supported by a devoted team of 29 staff members and nearly 350 ROCKateers. Each year, we impact the lives of over 400 individuals and their families, with a growing demand for our transformative services.
Your sponsorship of our 2025 Barn Dance is crucial in sustaining this mission. Your support brings hope to those facing challenges and allows us to continue providing the freedom that horses offer.
We invite you to join us on March 29, 2025, as we celebrate this milestone and take the next step toward a brighter future. Let’s honor the freedom we cherish and the incredible journeys that bring us together.

The Jason Pennington Memorial Clay Shoot to Benefit Young Athletes
Reunion Ranch, County Road 255, Georgetown, TX, USA
On March 30, 2025, the Georgetown community will come together to honor the life and legacy of Jason Pennington, a remarkable young athlete whose passion, leadership, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact. The Jason Pennington Memorial Clay Shoot will take place at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown, featuring a day of competitive shooting, community fellowship, and fundraising to support youth lacrosse.
Jason Pennington, a 16-year-old Georgetown High School student, was a multi-sport athlete involved in lacrosse, football, and clay shooting. Known for his relentless work ethic, love for competition, and dedication to academics—where he balanced AP coursework with his athletic commitments—Jason was an inspiration to all who knew him. His dream was to become a physician, dedicating his life to helping others. Tragically, Jason’s life was cut short on October 15, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance, teamwork, and community spirit.
An Event with Purpose
The Jason Pennington Memorial Clay Shoot is more than just a sporting event; it’s an opportunity for the community to rally around Jason’s memory and support the Georgetown Lacrosse program, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As lacrosse is not a UIL-sanctioned sport, families face significant financial barriers to participation. Proceeds from this event will go toward scholarships, equipment, and resources, ensuring that young athletes have access to the game Jason loved.
