We learned that there is quite a lot of interest in the lower space from possible restaurants and other tenants. And, that the lower space will accommodate as many as three new restaurants, but all kinds of retail business will be considered.
The plan for the upper space is for offices, with one or two tenants.
There will be 13 parking spaces on the premises.
We have also learned that the target is to have the building completed and ready for occupancy by March 1st, 2020.
Here’s a new pic that shows the building from a two sided perspective. Tap for a larger view.
10/31/19 – The building is green now and you can see the shape of it. Here are two images, the smaller one we got from the sign of the finished product and the other one we took today.

July 11, 2019 Update – There have been some developments on the downtown lot formerly and lovingly known as Eats On 8th.
The location is across from 600 Degrees Pizza at the corner of 8th and Church Streets.
This week large equipment has been clearing the lot for the new two story building.
The sign that’s been at the site for months has this image of how we can expect the new building to look.
April 16, 2019 update – Heritage Court – We understand this is the name of the development at the old Eat’s On 8th Location; corner of 8th and Church, across the street from 600 Degrees Pizza. (map below)
The new space will have Retail and Restaurant on the first floor and office space on the second floor.

December 2018 – There’s a really big sign at the corner of 8th and Church Street. It’s the old location of Eats On 8th (Map Below).
For the newbies – On December 17th 2016 Eats on 8th was the site of a fire after an issue with faulty water heaters, the restaurant never re-opened and was torn down.
Now, this sign is promising a new building is coming Summer 2019! And they also say the new space will be for restaurant, office or retail. Check out the picture on the sign!
