ROCK is celebrating 20 years of serving Central Texas residents with a unique brand of equine-assisted activities and therapy – or “hippotherapy,” the use of the natural movement of a horse as a physical and cognitive healing tool.
What started out as a one-horse center for kids soon grew to a facility with over 28 horses, serving over 300 participants of all ages, ranging from stroke patients to children with autism to veterans with conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder and more.
A PATH Intl. Premiere Accredited Facility, ROCK’s vision is to be the trusted leader in equine-assisted activities through service, research and higher learning.
Their programs include hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, ROCK On Veterans, and equine-facilitated learning programs for schools and individuals. In addition, ROCK has been contracted by Texas A&M University Systems (TAMUS) for the past six years to provide staff and equine-assisted services for Courtney Cares in College Station.
