Thursday May 17th, 2018 – Retired Southwestern University Professor Ken Roberts spent five years researching and writing “The Cedar Choppers: Life on the Edge of Nothing,” which was published this year by Texas A&M University Press.
The book tells the story of the migrants from Appalachia who made their living cutting and selling cedar logs.
Mr. Roberts will speak and sign his books available for purchase at 5:30 p.m. May 17 at the Williamson Museum, 716 S. Austin Avenue. The event is free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.
