Hello Georgetown!

I hope you all had a safe and wonderful 4th of July weekend, looking at the calendar and the local stores, I can hardly believe we’re approaching Back to School season already! Keep an eye out for continued updates to our Back to School guide in the very near future.

This week, let’s start out by giving a big hello to our newest Business Directory members: City Post Chophouse, The Law Offices of Kyle Robbins and JDog Junk Removal. You can read more about each of these businesses in their directory listings below.

We have several business updates for you too. Union Merchant has officially opened in Georgetown, as well as Georgetown Elite Dental! Also, we’ve learned Mojo Coffee will be opening a location in the community and City Lights Georgetown is set to become a Film Alley! Check out each of these updates in this week’s newsletter.

In other news, the Williamson County Master Gardener’s Monthly Meeting is coming up and will focus on caring for Crape Myrtles. The Rotary Club of Georgetown has also welcomed their 2022-2023 Club President, Cat Phelps, you can read more about each of these stories below.

Finally, I’m excited to introduce the first in our newest series: Georgetown’s Hometown Heroes. We’ve teamed up with Cookie Co. Georgetown to recognize individuals in the community who goes above in beyond in serving in Georgetown.

TThese acts of service can help one person or several, in ways large or small, one time or over the course of weeks, months or years – we are so excited to highlight the people that make our community such a wonderful place to live! Watch as we surprise Shannan Conway with the first Georgetown Hometown Hero award, and if you’d like to nominate someone, you can do so by clicking here.
