Hello Georgetown!
Can you believe June is almost over? This first half of the year is moving quickly!
We have some updates for you this week, and plenty of stories in the works for you in the weeks to come! First, let’s give a big hello to our newest Business Directory Members! Balancing Self is a total rejuvenation wellness destination for mind and body offering services including PEMF, Reiki, Life Coaching, and Synergistic Sculpting Body Sculpting sessions. Lulu’s Pie Shoppe is a family owned mobile pie shop, you’ve probably seen them at local markets and collaborating with local businesses to create one-of-a-kind recipes for their pies! Read more about both of these businesses in their individual listings below.
In other business news this week, The Little Lemon at the Library is officially open for customers, and Balancing Self has officially moved to their new location in Georgetown! We have the latest updates on both of these businesses, which you can read in this week’s newsletter.
Also this week, Habitat for Humanity is nearing their fundraising goal for the foundations for the first 6 homes to be built in the upcoming 12-townhome development Shepherd’s Village, and the City of Georgetown, and others are hosting a Veterans Job Fair and Business Expo on July 21. Plus, as the 4th of July approaches, the Georgetown Police and Fire Departments are reminding the community of firework guidelines, and we also have our annual Independence Day guide filled with local events and important information for the holiday.
Finally, be sure to check out our community calendar – there are plenty of events happening in Georgetown in the days and weeks ahead, and as you’re looking to make summer plans, the calendar is a great place to find inspiration and information about local events.
