Hello!
Happy October! Pumpkin spice and Halloween decorations are popping up all over town, and that means it’s also pumpkin patch season! We’ve released our annual Pumpkin Patches in Georgetown, TX guide to help you, as well as our Halloween guide. Find them in this week’s newsletter and check back often as we continue to update both with new details as we receive additional information.
Let’s also give a big hello to our newest Business Directory members: Harmony & Health – Acupuncture, Merle Norman Cosmetics & Boutique, Brookwood in Georgetown, and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital! Learn more about each of these organizations and read their full listings below.
Speaking of businesses, we have several updates for you this week. The Hacienda at Georgetown has hired their new executive director, and we’ve learned Scarlet + Sage Boutique and Pops Dirty Soda and Sweets are coming to the community. Also, Grandma’s Greens, GX Nutrition, The Charcuterie Co., and Yoyo Bubble Tea are all open in the community, and BeLocal Georgetown has opened an office on the Downtown Georgetown Square.
We also have some business anniversaries to celebrate in the community including Uncommon Candle Co. and August Beverage Co. who both just marked their 1st anniversaries in business, Credence Chiropractic who has celebrating 5 years of serving Georgetown, TX and The Flower Box who just celebrated 50 years in the community. Congrats to all of them!
In other news, we have a feature on Anchored Wellness graduate intern Satara-Marie Smith and how listening and life experience has inspired her career in counseling, and we also have another installment of Tech Tip Tuesday with Computek!
Also in this week’s newsletter, mark your calendars for the upcoming Hill Country Author Series on October 20th featuring author Lynda Rutledge. Plus, the City of Georgetown is holding a household hazardous waste event on October 19th and East View High School Percussion has been selected as one out of nine in the country to attend the Music for All Festival in 2023.
Finally, we have our newest episode of Georgetown’s Hometown Hero and this week, we honor Santa Phil Gingras. Watch the video to learn more about the good he does in Georgetown and to see us surprise him with delicious cookies from Cookie Co. Georgetown!
