Hello Georgetown!
I hope you’ve had a great week so far! It’s been nice to see some cooler temperatures in the mornings and evenings, fall weather isn’t far away!
Our community has lots going on, including several events you’ll want to put on your calendar. Faith in Action will be hosting an upcoming annual choral concert on September 30 as part of their 20th anniversary celebration of serving seniors in Georgetown! Plus, Habitat for Humanity is hosting a fundraising golf tournament on October 4, and on September 23, Central Texas Mini Golf will be hosting an “Adventures in Gin” class.
Other upcoming events in the community include Wolf Ranch Town Center’s “Shop With Your Pet Day,” which is sure to include all kinds of fun for pets and pet parents alike! Speaking of our favorite four-legged friends, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter has joined the NBCUniversal’s annual “Clear the Shelter” event this year and on September 18, all pet adoptions are free! Learn more about both of these events in the newsletter below.
Also this week, our hearts go out to the family and friends of Precinct 3 Constable Kevin Stofle, who passed away this week. Kevin served our community for many years in many capacities including as Assistant Chief of Police with the Georgetown Police Department, Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Georgetown and as Precinct 3 Constable.
Our thoughts and prayers are also with the family and friends of Georgetown Police Officer Michelle Gattey who also passed away this week. Her life of service included 23 years in the United States Air Force before joining the Georgetown Police Department. We pray comfort come to the loved ones of both of these individuals in this time of grief.
These are just a few of the updates we have for you this week. As always, feel free to reach out and let us know how we can better serve you. Hello Georgetown exists for the community!
