If you were sleeping, like most of us, you missed the spectacular magic in the sky! Here’s a video of the Eclipse of the Super Blue Blood Moon from last night.
The rare total eclipse takes place on Wednesday January 31, combining A super moon, a blue moon and a blood moon.
Blue Moon – the second full moon in a calendar month.
Super Moon – orbiting closer to the Earth than usual, making it seem up to 14 percent larger in the sky.
Total lunar eclipse – when the moon moves behind the Earth’s shadow, and it can’t receive any light from the Sun.
Blood Moon – described as blood moon because of they way the moon turns a gorgeous coppery red, you can see this in the video after the eclipse.
The entire phenomenon will take more than three hours.
