Cool off the kiddos this summer at the San Jose Splash Pad! Here’s a video, thanks to the city of Georgetown, showing the opening and everybody having a great time.
San Jose Park Splash Pad is located in the San Jose Park
1707 San Jose Street
Open daily April through September 30 from 9am to 8pm.
The 1,656 square-foot water play area has 15 spray features, including a spray archway called a Super Soaker, a shower tunnel that sprays water in an archway from the ground, a T-shaped pole that spins and sprays called a Storm Spinner, popcorn jets that shoot water from the ground, and a post that sprays water in a bell shape. The play area has a shade awning on one side.
The splash pad will use recirculated water that is filtered, chlorinated, and stored in a tank below the surface. Parks staff will check chlorine levels daily. A motion sensor activates the spray features to run for several minutes before turning off automatically.
