The Williamson Museum is hosting a virtual gala this week.
“Hey all you space cowfolk! Pack up your astronaut gear, cowboy boots, and computer because our virtual gala is blasting off next week,” according to a Facebook post by the museum.
The theme for this year’s gala is Cattleman’s Cyberspace Charity Social. Their silent auction, raffle, and fund-a-need will run through 6pm, October 16 to 9am Sunday, October 18th with a livestream on Saturday October 17th at 7 PM.
“Our livestream will have living history characters sharing the stories of Williamson County, cocktail and food demonstrations, and ghost stories,” the museum said. “We will also be sharing facts about the museum.”
The silent auction is offering COVID safe experiences including a dusk picnic at the museum, a private ghost tour, and customized night at the museum. Other items include Nolan Ryan and Mason Crosby Memorabilia, Country Music Fan Packages, and more. The raffle includes a pair of 14k White Gold 1.CT Diamond Oval Hoops donated by Quenan’s Jewelry.
Access to the silent auction and raffles are available by purchasing a $15 registration ticket. All proceeds will go to support the museum’s educational programs.
“The museum relies on support from our community,” according to the museum. “In these hard times, the museum has continued to serve our community by adapting to virtual programs and being open to the public since May 21, 2020. Many of our programs have been impacted and we rely on donations to ensure that we are continuing to tell the stories of Williamson County through education, acquisition, exhibition, and preservation.”
Donations, admissions, and the livestream will all be accessible through the project website at https://williamsonmuseum.ejoinme.org/MyEvents/CattlemansCyberspaceCharitySocial2020/tabid/1184448/Default.aspx
