On May 21, the organization will host an outdoor concert at Reunion Ranch in Georgetown, starring country music artist Cory Morrow. The event will feature food trucks, bars and a fireworks show will close out the festivities.

Georgetown Updates COVID-19 Safety Guidelines
Effective Monday, May 17, visitors to City facilities will be encouraged, but not required, to wear face coverings, and all City Council meetings will return to in-person, per council direction at its May 11 meeting.
In the coming weeks, the City will develop plans to further open its facilities, boards and commissions meetings, programs, and services to the public as safely as possible.
Preservation Georgetown Announces 2021 Preservation Grant Program
Join Preservation Georgetown on Saturday, May 15, from 12 noon to 1:00 pm at Grace Heritage Center for the announcement of the 2021 Preservation Grant Program. Preservation Georgetown annually offers grants to assist with the preservation of historic residential or commercial structures in the greater Georgetown area that were built before 1960.
New Water Rates in Effect During Irrigation Season
With water use for lawn irrigation increasing as the weather gets warmer, customers may see an increase in their water bills due to new water rates that went into effect on Jan. 1.
Downtown Sidewalk Improvements to Improve Accessibility
Work starts this week on improvements to sidewalks in the downtown Square area to improve accessibility. Projects include street segments that currently do not have sidewalks or segments that do not meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.
Public Input Sought for Parks and Recreation Master Plan
The City of Georgetown will host a virtual public forum at 6 p.m. Monday, May 24, to kick off the creation of a new Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

Wolf Ranch Town Center has rescheduled their Hometown Heroes celebration to Friday, May 21
Artists Invited to Submit Work for Georgetown Art Hop XIV
“Calling artists 16 years and older residing in Texas,” the Georgetown Art Center wrote. “Our annual juried show is now open for submissions in four categories.”
Living Grace Canine Ranch Receives Building Donation, Launches Resident Sponsoring Angel Program
conic Georgetown Philanthropist, Jack Garey, a 91 year old millionaire who donated his 525 acre ranch to the city of Georgetown in 2014 has donated a building to Living Grace Canine Ranch. “Garey’s Big Dog Bunkhouse” will house up to 25 (residents) large, elderly dogs who have been abandoned or whose owners can’t take care of them any longer.
