A happy Easter weekend to all of you! During this season, I hope you feel joy and light!
There are plenty of things happening for the holiday – we’ve been hard at work updating our Easter guide with events and details about restaurants open or closed that day. Be sure to check it out!
Hot on the heels of Easter is Georgetown’s annual Red Poppy Festival from April 22 to April 24th! There’s plenty of fun to be had throughout that weekend as well, including the annual POPP Pup Parade and Pet Costume Contest! We have details for you on this event for our furry friends, and more!
Also coming up in Georgetown, Paideia Classical School is hosting an open house on Thursday, April 21. They are enrolling Pre-K through High School and are inviting families in this final open house to come see if Paideia Classical School is a good fit. The latest updates about the event can be found below.
Keep your calendars out for one more event, the East View High School Choir will be performing their annual Finale! concert starting Friday, April 29. This performance features all 150 choir students performing group and solo numbers from pop, musical theater and jazz favorites!

Also, Lincoln Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab, LLC is officially open and Jackson-Shaw and Onx Homes recently broke ground on their new manufacturing facility in the community!
Also happening this week, the founders of Helping Hands of Georgetown have retired and announced the organization’s new executive director. Plus, the City of Georgetown presented their annual State of the City address.

⭐ Event Spotlight: Lion/Dragon Dance Joins POPP Pup Parade at Georgetown’s Red Poppy Festival with Pet Costume Contest
This year’s Red Poppy Festival will be something to bark about! The City of Georgetown is excited to announce that the pet-friendly POPP Pup Parade will be make its way through Downtown Georgetown Sunday April 24th at 11am as part of the Red Poppy Festival lineup. A hybrid virtual/live pet costume contest will be included with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place winners.
⭐Event Spotlight: Paideia Classical School to Host Open House April 21
“We are inviting the Georgetown community to come learn more about Paideia Classical Christian School and explore all that we have to offer families,” Michelle Drummons, Headmaster for Paideia Classical School – Georgetown Campus, told Hello Georgetown. “We are enrolling Pre-K through High School, and there are limited spots available in each class. This will be our final Open House, so we would love for people to come find out if Paideia Classical Christian School is a good fit for their families!”
⭐Event Spotlight: East View High School Choir to Present Annual Finale! Concert April 29 – May 1
“Join us for our final performance of the year,” according to the choir’s website. “Finale features all 150 choir students performing group numbers and solos to your favorite pop, musical theater, and jazz tunes! Tickets are $5, and the senior traditions will take place during the Sunday, May 1st performance.”

Lincoln Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab, LLC Now Open in Georgetown!
“We offer post operative rehab, like rotator cuff repairs and knee replacements, in addition to most orthopedic type problems, such as back and neck pain, tendonitis, muscle pulls, etc,” Andrew Creal told Hello Georgetown. “I am a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedics and I treat people with headaches as well.”

Wellspring Preparatory Academy is getting closer to opening and has announced their director!
Jackson-Shaw and Onx Homes Break Ground in Georgetown!
“Onx Homes manufactures modular homes,” the City of Georgetown wrote on Facebook. “In its 204,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in the new business district (north of the I-35 & Hwy. 195 intersection), the sustainability-focused company is planning to create 300 jobs.”
City Hosting Riverbank Cleanup Event May 14
The City of Georgetown is hosting a riverbank cleanup event May 14 in Rivery Park, 1125 Woodlawn Ave. Free public parking is available in the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center garage, 1101 Woodlawn St.
Celebrate Red Poppy Festival in Downtown Georgetown on April 22-24
Celebrate the City’s signature event on the most beautiful town square in Texas at the 21st annual Red Poppy Festival. The festival kicks off on Friday night and runs through Sunday with three days of music, entertainment, family fun, and more than 100 artisan vendors.
City of Georgetown and Williamson County Easter Closures
Several facilities for the City of Georgetown and Williamson County will be closed in observance of Easter.
Helping Hands of Georgetown Founders Retire, Announce New Executive Director
Both Robert and Ellen have now officially retired and are enjoying some much need time with grandchildren and are preparing to travel, the organization said. Rebecca will be dedicating her time to growing her new business in nutrition, and supporting her husband in his business as a local cabinetmaker.
City of Georgetown Presents Annual State of the City Address
Mayor Josh Schroeder and City Manager David Morgan addressed the City of Georgetown in an annual State of the City address on Wednesday, April 13.
