Hello Georgetown!
April showers bring May flowers – that’s the phrase, right? Well, April is almost over and May will be here before you know it. But, you don’t have to wait until then to enjoy all the beautiful flowers around town – the poppies and bluebonnets have been just splendid so far!
With spring comes more baby animals, and in this week’s edition we have a special article about what to do if you stumble across a baby animal in Georgetown and how to help.

Plus, if you’re looking for ways to volunteer in Georgetown, check out the newest community clean up initiative by a local nonprofit. They will be meeting weekly on Tuesdays to clean up our local parks. Details can be found below.

Early Voting Begins April 19 on Mobility Bond, Districts 1 & 5 Elections
The first day of early voting is Monday, April 19, in the districts 1 and 5 City Council races and the mobility bond election.
Hunt for Treasures at Downtown Spring Fling April 24
Participants can search for hidden treasures throughout downtown while shopping and dining at downtown businesses with spring specials.
Local Nonprofit Launches Weekly Community Clean Up
The community clean up will take place every Tuesday morning at 9 AM in Georgetown, Texas and the organization will post the locations for the next clean ups two weeks before on Facebook.
Earth Day Celebrations in Georgetown
In an effort to encourage more businesses to apply for a Wilco Forward grant, the application deadline has been extended to April 30, 2021.The City of Georgetown is hosting several events for Earth Day this year.
Georgetown Parks and Recreation Gears Up for 2021 Family Nature Fest
During the four-day hybrid event, participants will enjoy a variety of fun-filled online and in-person activities, crafts kits and more! The event is scheduled from April 22 to April 25.
Wolf Ranch Town Center to Host Hometown Heroes Event
Wolf Ranch Town Center is hosting a Hometown Heroes celebration on Friday, April 23 to salute the local military, veterans, law enforcement and first responders of Williamson County. The outdoor event will take place from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Ross Dress for Less parking lot.
