Georgetown Parks and Recreation Announces End of Summer Outdoor Pool Schedule
Georgetown Parks and Recreation has announced the outdoor pool schedule for the end of summer. These schedules have also been updated in our Hello Georgetown Swimming Guide for 2021.
Fixed-Route Bus Service in Georgetown to End Oct. 1, 2021
The fixed-route bus system currently serving Georgetown residents will end Oct. 1, 2021. City Council during its July 27 meeting directed staff to negotiate a new paratransit agreement with Capital Metro, without any provision for fixed-route service.
Local Businesses and Organizations are Invited to Participate in the GISD Business Fair August 10
The Georgetown ISD Education Foundation invites local businesses and non-profit organizations to participate in Georgetown ISD’s annual Business Fair, which will be held on Tuesday, August 10 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Georgetown Arts and Culture Board Awards Grants for 2021 Round II
The Georgetown Arts and Culture Board approved $12,650 in grants in July to local arts and culture organizations to help with funding local arts and culture programming that includes visual art, music, performance art, and history in Georgetown.
Southwestern University President Embarks on 63-Mile Hike for “Find Your Summit” Campaign
The hike is part of a larger 10-day campaign the university is promoting called, “Find Your Summit,” which encourages Southwestern community members to set goals and make progress towards that goal during the event.
