Speaking of Christmas, East View High School is performing their special “A Jolly Holiday” concert starting today (Friday) and throughout this weekend! It’s an event you won’t want to miss and tickets are just $5. Learn more about show times and how you can get tickets in this week’s newsletter.

In business news, Wish Well House, Teapioca Lounge and The Garden at the Summit are all officially open in Georgetown! Also, three additional Georgetown businesses/programs, Black Sugar Caffé, The Golden Rule and the Georgetown Public arts program, recently won the Texas Travel Awards. Congrats to all these businesses for their recent milestones!
Our Christmas guides continue to grow. This week, we released our Christmas Dinners and Desserts guide, as well as updated our Christmas Light Displays and Christmas Events guides. All of our guides are being updated constantly as we receive new information, so be sure to bookmark and check back often for new details.
Finally, I am so excited for our 2nd Annual Make A Smile Happen event happening on Saturday, December 11th from 8 AM to 8 PM at the Ross Dress for Less parking lot at Wolf Ranch! This combined children/teen gift drive, pet supply drive, cash donation drive and food drive is benefitting five amazing local nonprofits, and participating is easy! Anytime during the event, simply drive up to our donation station and we’ll receive your donation, all while staying in the comfort of your car! 🎄 Hello Georgetown Invites Community to Help Make A Smile Happen for Local Non-Profits in 2nd Annual Event
From 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. at the Ross Dress for Less Parking lot located in Wolf Ranch Town Center, community members will be able to drive up to the event tent and drop off their donations. Make A Smile Happen 2021 will focus on four categories for donations: children/teen gifts, food, pet supplies and cash donations.

The EVHS Choir will perform their annual “A Jolly Holiday” at the East View High School Theater!

Wish Well House Open in Georgetown!
Good news for those curious to see inside! The cocktail lounge is open in December and January! Reservations are highly encouraged as walk-ins will be based on limited availability. Hours are Thursday through Saturday from 4 PM to 10 PM and on Sunday from noon to 6 PM.
Teapioca Open in Georgetown!
The store, located at 940 W. University Ave. Ste 118 in Wolf Crossing, opened on Thursday, December 9th. Their hours are Monday through Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM.
The Garden at the Summit Open in Georgetown!
“Inspired by the North End, The Garden at The Summit is reminiscent of historical Italian communities in the Boston area,” Chris Meroff, Owner of The Garden at the Summit, told Hello Georgetown. “Our New England-influenced beer garden will serve Boston Italian seafood, crafted by Executive Chef Tim Lane, in a casual dining environment.”
Drive-Through Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 11
Participants will be able to drive by and wave at Santa and Georgetown firefighters and grab a goodie bag with treats and coupons donated by local businesses.
Georgetown Businesses and Programs Win Texas Travel Awards
Georgetown favorites named in this year’s awards included: The Golden Rule, Georgetown Public Arts Program and Black Sugar Caffé.
City Holiday String Lights Recycling Available Through Jan. 31
Residents can drop off their old or broken string lights through Jan. 31 at one of three collection stations.
Mosquito Trap Tests Positive for West Nile Virus in Georgetown
In 2021, there have been 12 mosquito samples pools that returned positive for West Nile virus in Williamson County. This is the first positive trap in 2021 at this location. The last positive trap collected at this location was October 2017.
Georgetown Parks and Recreation Announces Day Camps
The Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department will offer day camps for students during the upcoming Georgetown ISD student holidays. Pricing and schedules vary for each program.
Registration Opens for 2022 Georgetown Cupid’s Chase 5K and Fun Run
“Join us for the 28th annual Cupid’s Chase 5K Run/Walk, a Georgetown community tradition,” according to the event website. “The fun-filled family event will also include a Kids 1K Fun Run, for kids ages 10 and under. The 5K will be a chip-timed event.”
