Hello Georgetown!
Another week of wacky weather, some days are summer, some days are winter. Either way, be sure your wardrobe is prepared ☀️🌤️⛅🌦️🌧️🌦️⛅🌤️☀️
This week, we are excited to bring you an update on the Make A Smile Happen 2021 event that took place in December. I am always so touched by the kindness of our community, thank you to everyone who participated in the drive and helped five local nonprofits smile even brighter this past holiday season! You can find an update on how your donations made an impact in this week’s newsletter.
In business news, CelLink officially broke ground on their new manufacturing facility coming to Georgetown, and RR Dentistry is expanding!
Plus, the Georgetown City Council adopted the 10-Year Parks Master Plan and changes to the city fire code. Also, if you’ve been downtown this week, you may notice things look a little different. That’s because HBO Max is filming for a series called “Love and Death,” and will be there through the first week of March. Get the latest information on street closures in this week’s newsletter.
Finally, it’s been so fun to see all these photo submissions coming in! Thank you to everyone who has submitted photos for use in our weekly newsletter! This is an open invitation, so please feel free to submit your own photo for consideration at anytime!
