2022 is already going well for our community. East View High School Theater has announced they will be presenting “A Chorus Line” starting January 27. Learn more about how you can get tickets to one of the shows in this week’s newsletter.
We are also excited to be teaming up with an upcoming newcomer guide “BeLocal Georgetown,” this year! This new guide will connect new residents with the best resources in town like Hello Georgetown, the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, the Visitor’s Center, local businesses who can help them settle into their new home and new city with ease, and more! You can learn more about this new guide below.
In business news, The SIGN-Elf Georgetown will be opening in our community soon, and Bar 10 CrossFit is officially opening on January 8th! Details about both of these new businesses can be found in the newsletter below.
Also kicking off the new year, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital welcomed the first baby of 2022 on January 2nd, and the “New Year, New You” challenge at the Georgetown Recreation Center kicks off on January 10th. Additionally, candidates for City Council can submit applications for a place on the May ballot starting that same day.

Bar 10 CrossFit Coming to Georgetown!
Bar 10 CrossFit will open on January 8th and will be hosting a grand opening celebration from 10 AM to 2 PM.
St. David’s Georgetown Welcomes First Baby of 2022
On Sunday, January 2 at 1:42 PM, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital saw the first birth of the new year when Baby Madison made her way into the world weighing 7 lbs, 12 oz. Welcome to the world Baby Madison!

St. David’s Georgetown Hospital Gives 2021 Caregiver of the Year Award
“Throughout the year, Sara has worked to spearhead efforts to protect patients and staff amidst the pandemic, navigated coordination with the local health department and helped hospital leaders come up with solutions to many of the challenges COVID-19 presented,” St. David’s Georgetown Hospital said. “Sara has handled every situation with grace and truly demonstrates what it means to be part of the St. David’s HealthCare team.”
New Year, New You Challenge Kicks Off Jan. 10 at the Georgetown Recreation Center
The program kicks off on Monday, Jan. 10 and runs through Sunday, Feb. 6. Prizes will be distributed starting on Friday, Feb. 11
