Hello Georgetown!
First and foremost, our hearts are with so many this week as our community grieves the loss of loved ones.
In our last newsletter, we reported the passing of Precinct Constable 3 Kevin Stofle and Georgetown Police Officer Michelle Gattey. Then earlier this week, we learned of the heartbreaking loss of 75 furry family members in a tragic fire.
I know there are no words I can say that will take away the pain, the grief and the loss families are experiencing. But, please know that everyone here at Hello Georgetown is praying for you and your families, and that you find comfort, peace and healing during this time ❤️
It has been incredible for me to watch Georgetown do what Georgetown has done time and time again: lift each other up in times of need. It’s been so inspiring to watch as community members have extended a hand of help, support and friendship to all those who are grieving.
This spirit of selfless service is at the core of who we are as a community, and while it’s been a difficult week for so many, those acts of service and support have brought light to these heartbreaking moments.
Thank you Georgetown, for who you are, and for who you continue to be.
